Is there a maximum number of guests?
No set maximum — we've catered for as many as 5,000 guests in a single sitting.
How much is the deposit to secure a booking?
A $400 deposit secures your date. See the Spanish Experience & pricing page for full pricing.
How far do you travel?

On the Day

How much space do you need on the day?
Around 3m x 3m for our mobile cooking setup, depending on guest numbers.
What facilities do you need from us?
We aim to be fully self-sufficient. All we generally need is access to fresh water, and power if it's an evening event, for lighting the cooking and serving area.
Do you provide plates and cutlery?
Yes — we supply biodegradable plates and forks so everything is hassle-free for you and your guests.
Do you supply salad and dessert too?
Yes — we can supply a fresh green salad and dinner rolls, plus your choice of churros with chocolate for dessert. See Additional Offerings.
How long does the paella take to cook?
About an hour and a half, sometimes a little more — good paella can't be rushed, and the aroma as it cooks is all part of the experience.
Do you have a liquor licence?
Yes, and our staff hold current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.

The Food

What exactly is paella?
A traditional rice dish from the Valencia region of Spain, cooked in a large shallow pan and flavoured with spices like saffron and paprika. It can be made with meat, seafood or vegetables.
How many types of paella are there?
About as many as there are cooks in Spain — nearly every family has their own recipe. The most popular are chicken, seafood and vegetarian, though there are regional variations too.
Can you make it as spicy (or mild) as we like?
Yes — just let us know your preference when you book.
Is your paella gluten free?
Yes — all our paellas are gluten, dairy, egg and nut free, and we cook only with Spanish extra virgin olive oil.
Is your vegetarian paella vegan-friendly too?
Yes — our vegetarian paella contains no animal products, eggs or nuts.
What happens to leftover paella?
If you have suitable containers on hand, we're happy to pack up any leftovers for you to refrigerate or freeze.
